When is the best time to visit Tanzania?+
The dry season from June to October offers the best game viewing, including the Great Migration river crossings. The calving season in January–February is also spectacular.
How far in advance should I book?+
We recommend booking 6–12 months ahead for peak season (July–September) to secure the best camps. Off-peak trips can often be arranged with 2–3 months' notice.
Are your safaris suitable for families?+
Absolutely. We design family-friendly itineraries with shorter drive times, family tents, and guides experienced in engaging younger travellers.
What is included in the safari package?+
A 4x4 Safari Land Cruiser with pop-up roof, a professional English-speaking guide, fuel, driver fees and vehicle park entry fees. All National Park entry fees, crater fees, concession fees, government taxes and the Ngorongoro Crater service fee. Accommodation as per the itinerary (lodge or tented camp), all meals on safari, lunch boxes and drinking water (1.5L per person per day). Airport pickup & drop-off from JRO or Arusha, first aid kit, binoculars, and AMREF / Flying Doctors emergency evacuation cover.
What is not included?+
International flights to and from Tanzania, travel insurance (recommended, must cover medical & evacuation), Tanzania visa ($50–$100 on arrival), tips or gratuities ($15 per day for the guide), personal items like laundry, phone bills, alcoholic drinks and sodas, and extras such as balloon safari, Maasai village visit, night game drive or walking safari unless stated. Accommodation before and after the safari in Arusha can be arranged on request.
