Arrival of your flight at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will shortly brief you about your tour in Rwanda and immediate transfer to your hotel in Kigali. Arrive at Hotel Des Mille Collines for check in; Dinner & Overnight.
Day 2: Kigali City Tour – Akagera National Park
Breakfast at the hotel 07:30 before making your way to Akagera National Park, you will embark on a city tour of the cleanest and friendliest city in Africa. The tour offers in-depth knowledge of Kigali’s bitter Past and its bright future, assuring that you feel a connection with the vibrant city’s heartbeat. Lunch at Java House, after having your lunch around 13:00 Pm, you Driver tour Guide will drive you to eastern part of Rwanda to Akagera National Park. The journey to Akagera National Park takes About 2, 5 hours. Arriving at the Akagera National, transfer to headquarters for registration and then proceed on boat trip on Lake Ihema. After the Boat trip, you driver guide will transfer you to your Lodge, Ruzizi Tented Lodge, luxury tented camp overlooking Lake Ihema. Check in; dinner & Overnight.
Day 3: Akagera – Volcanoes National Park
Breakfast at 06:00, then leave for a morning game Drive in Akagera National Park to catch up with late hunters And early risers. We will be searching for the big mammals Like Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Rhinos, Lions, leopards And several Antelopes species. The park is a varied habitat for Wildlife and a number bird species with over 500 bird species In the park, making it a birding paradise. You will leave the lodge with parked lunch for the game drive which will last about 6 hours depending on your interests before starting the journey back to Kigali and Proceed to Volcanoes National Park. You will take the route along the lake which more often has a variety of Animals to site along. Exit with more games viewing en-route and transfer back to Kigali city, straight to Java House at Kigali Heights Building for coffee/ tea. Later transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Kinigi – Musanze in the North western side of the country, the journey to Volcanoes National Park takes about 2 hours. Arrive at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel For check in; Dinner & overnight.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Breakfast at 06:00 then transfer to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for registration and briefing. Your driver guide will assist and facilitate on identifying gorilla family to visit. Trekking can be between 90 minutes – 6 Hours depending on what family group assigned. You will spend 1 hour with the Gorillas – sometimes moving around to stay with the gorillas or following them. The guide will ensure you are in the best spots to take the most beautiful pictures and experience the breathtaking experience properly. After your lifetime experience, you will then drive back to the hotel for lunch and refreshment. Later in the afternoon, you will visit Gorilla Guardians former Iby’iwacu cultural village. This cultural village displays a traditional lifestyle of a Rwandan including dress code, food growing, processing and preparation, their wedding traditional ceremonies and interpersonal relationship within the community. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: King’s Palace Museum (Nyanza) – Nyungwe National Park
Breakfast at 07:00, then transfer to Nyungwe National Park. On Your way to Nyungwe, you will visit the newly built King’s Palace at Nyanza, the journey to this historic museum takes 4 hours from Volcanoes National Park. The King’s Palace Museum is based in Nyanza District; Mutara III Rudahigwa’s Palace offers a detailed into the Rwanda Monarchial system and its abolition in early 1960s due to Colonialism. The Palace was restored to its 19th century state as a Replica and was made entirely with traditional materials. Recently the long honored royal cows ‘Inyambo’ were introduced because cows form an integral part of the Rwanda culture and were initially the King’s symbol of prestige. The visit takes only 1 hour, and then after visiting the King’s Palace Museum at Nyanza, you will have lunch and proceed to Nyungwe National Park. Arrive at One & Only Nyungwe House, 5-star hotel located in the heart of a tea plantation with a stunning jungle Backdrop; dinner & overnight.
Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking & Canopy Walk
Breakfast at 04:00, then you will proceed to the park Headquarters for briefing at 05:00 Am and later go trekking Chimpanzees. During trekking you might spot primates like the Colobus Monkeys plus viewing other inhabitants of the forest like birds and butterflies. Later return to your lodge for lunch and Refreshment. 14:00 Later in the afternoon, you will drive to Uwinka visitor’s Center for the canopy tour. The two hour walk on top of the Forest offers you impressive views of the Nyungwe forest And the wide variety of species that thrive there, including Primates and birds. Return to your hotel for dinner & overnight. Overnight: One & Only Nyungwe House
Day 7: Transfer back to Kigali
Breakfast at 06:30, then you will check out of the hotel and begin your journey back to Kigali city. You will make a stop in Butare to Visit the Ethnographic Museum; the largest Museum in Rwanda with over 100,000 artifacts that bring out the history And traditions of Rwanda in Detail. Lunch at one of the best restaurant in Butare. Later drive Back to Kigali city, Proceed to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
