Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast meet your safari driver guide at the lobby and leave for Tarangire National Park via Arusha town where you can change money or do any last minute purchase. Tarangire is the fifth largest National park in Tanzania well known for its beautiful landscape. Tarangire River, larger elephant population and the majestic baobab trees dwarfing some animal species which comes underneath it are the highlights of this park. Tarangire and Lake Manyara ecosystem forms a cycle of annual migration of over 3000 elephant, wildebeest & zebras. Apart from elephant population you may expect to spot giraffe, buffalo, zebra, warthog & the three rare species of Lesser & Greater Kudu, Oryx and the Ash staling.

Day 2: Family Activities at Lake Manyara Area
Since you have previously spent much time sitting in the plane and the car, this day will take you for some physical activities guided by a trained local guide. You will firstly walk through Mto wa mbu Village where you can experience some social and economic activities, education issues and many more (local lunch will be served in the village)’ Alternative is a biking tour through the village & along the shore of lake Manyara. In the afternoon drive to a small town of Karatu near Ngorongoro, leisurely evening and overnight.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Tour
After breakfast, leave the lodge and spend few minutes’ drive on the tarmac road to Ngorongoro main entrance gate. Descend the crater floor for full day game drive with picnic lunches. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the best attractions in Tanzania and it is regarded by many as one of the nature wonder of the world. As very few animals migrate in and out of this 600 meters crater wall you can expect to see animals in a very close range including lions, hyenas, black rhino, buffaloes, elephants, hippos, and many bird species. This is among the few places in the world where the rare black rhino can be seen in their natural habitats and it is possible to spot the Big Five in the course of one day of game drives. After an extensive game drive, ascend the crater wall for overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park
Breakfast in the lodge, and then you will drive across Ngorongoro highlands and down to the plains of Serengeti, grazing zebra, elephant, giraffe and many antelopes to be spotted on the way.
You will then visit the traditional Masai village where some Maasai warriors invite you and show you in around and give some information of their customary life. Afterward their popular jumping dance will begin and if you want you can join them and jump high. They will then take you inside the houses, meet their kids, you can ask questions and take some pictures.
Reach Naabi Hill gate and enter the Serengeti Park, you can take your packed lunch at Naabi Hill gate or at the Copjes (rock outcropping) which are past Naabi Hills gate, lion, cheetah and sometime leopard can be seen around this big rocks. Proceed with game driving in the Serengeti and reach your lodge during or after sunset.

Day 5: Full Day Game Viewing in Serengeti
On this day of your family special (If you wish) you can start with the first rays of the sun at 06:30, for an early morning game drives in the Serengeti, (packed breakfast box and lunch box will be on board), follow the big herds of animal stretched on the plains of Serengeti and spend much time with them or drive around to see some nocturnal predators coming back from their long night of hunting or some lioness organizing an ambush while other animals are coming out from their hiding place ready to start the new day. Break for lunch in the bush, after lunch you can have a short visit at the center where you can read some interesting documentary about Serengeti. Embark with your afternoon game drives and return to your lodge a bit early for relaxation and sunset watching.

Day 6: Another Full Day in Serengeti
The entire day is spent dedicated to game viewing, the areas that you visit will depend upon where the herds are. Predators usually follow closely behind the trekking animals and include lions, leopards (in the acacia trees) and cheetahs. During the short rainy season in November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June they return up north. As the migration is completely dependent on the yearly rainfalls, the location of the herds may vary from year to year but your guide will know where to locate the animals and where to see them best.

Day 7: Serengeti – Arusha (By Air)
After your last breakfast in Serengeti at the lodge, you will be transferred to Seronera airstrip to catch a flight to Arusha. On arrival at Arusha airport you will be met and taken to the city of Arusha for lunch. Then drop off at your hotel. This will mark the end of our family safari special service!
